New York has been long considered a gastronomic capital of the state and one of the annual events that highlights this fact is held every July for 12 years already. Troy Pig Out festival known for its motto “Take Home The Pig” has been started with the goal to support the tradition of offering delicious meals and specialties prepared on the basis of exclusive traditions and recipes.
In 2019, the festival takes place on July 13, in Riverfront Park from 10 AM to 9PM. It is a full day of joy when visitors of the event can try the best BBQ dishes cooked at the culinary competition. These are delicacies from the best chefs of the city which cannot leave anyone indifferent. The smells which spread in that area on this day attract hundreds of visitors who cannot pass by and hurry to taste the best BBQ.
The BBQ competition is held among masters who compete for prizes in several nominations including the best pulled pork, chicken, rib, beef brisket, and determine a Grand Champion in this field.
